and manifold a bolt on cone airfilter

I'd make very sure that is large enough to cope with the airflow through a turbo'd 1.9 without restriction - massive.

What revs correspond to that speed where it tails off?? That's the important information missing...

If the pipe runs are short enough and it has a plentiful supply of cold air through it...

If you're using more fuel with that pin (what angle is it set to?), or have overfuelled it a bit... then you need an EGT gauge!

Also, an oil temp gauge.

Have you fitted a big oil cooler up front?

What boost pressures are you running at?

Possibly the JX diameter exhaust is limiting, but wouldn't think by much, 2 1/2" is about ideal.. JX about 2 1/4"

I am with this one.. also if it's no top end is the timing fully correct - if out a little then you would see lack of power top end.......

i swaped it from a dj petrol today put the intercooler in the back by air vent seems good supply of air but fitted a motorbike fan to it to help from a flick switch on dash might get me mate electrical buff to make some sort of temp switch circit up for it im using a mix of plastic pipes of a passat n reg tdi.now its beeding in pulls nice feels a lot better, been upto 65 mph but not ready to push it to much yet want to be safe and run it in slowly the boost pin is from brickwerks i think im going to run it in for a week then reset all timing including pump with the dial the water temp has coming down no its been bleed runs at half temp by the light goes over if you climb longish hills but fan comes in ive got some audi oil temp/ presure and volts also a boost dial to put in should find out what the boost is then and a oil cooler but need to get the sandwitch plate any ideas where to get would be helpfull only finding ones for petrol engines

Does the oil from the oil cooler just drain into the sump when the engine is off?

How do you check the level?

Im a bit worried on this as i fitted my oil cooler and dont think i have put enough oil in (bout 6 litres) but the oil level is correct....

I also put the radiator in with the connectors at the top - so i guess im going to have to drain that manually....

Thanks

It will run hot without thermstat, you have made it so the water has an easier route than going through radiator.
