Rev counter wiring
i am fitting an after market TIM rev counter on my petrol caravelle, my question is , what fuse can i use for the "live when ignition is on" rather than running 2 wires to the coil, is there a spare or do i link to the cigarette light or something like that...

One of the relay sockets on the top row of a late van (no 2 I think) probubly has a rev signal going to it (should if your van has the buzzer of doom or rev counter), probubly a "15" pin too. Male blades will push streight into them without having to cut anything. You could take 15 off the back of the bord easy and tidy but a rev signal will likely involve tapping into wires. Remember if you don't have a rev counter dash you will still need a rev signal to it for the buzzer of doom to work properly (otherwise I don't think it'll ever moniter the higher running oil presure as it won't think the engine is running).

Ah, thats why the W connector is attached to a wire on my alternator - even though i havent got a rev counter?
So effectively, i shouldnt have to run any wires from the engine bay to get an aftermarket rev counter to work?
Sweet!
Thanks
