rocker adjustment watercooled

Post by Frostbus »

hi again
sorry for all the posts just seem to break everthing i touch on my bus!!.
Right i'm a bit paranoid now having just replaced rear two pushrod tubes with telescopic versions supplied by syncrospares (thanks to syncrospares and the chap that posted they may have some).
Put everything back together and adjusted the rockers two full turns in from touching valve as per Bently and Haynes.
it runs brilliant no tappet noise and idles well but i have not driven it with vengence yet .
Looking on the net there are quite a few discusions on this subject that say 2 turns is too much this has worried me a bit.
Will i kill my engine following the advise in these books.
please help i dont want to break anything else.
cheers

dont worry itll be fine,as long as the pushrod is seated properly and adjusted as per bentley no worries, the fact that it idles and runs ok is a good sighn,cj.
