Knocking sound from rear when decelerating

Post by The G »

Help,I have a strange sound coming from the rear of my bus every time I decelerate.
It stops when I dip the clutch of take up drive.
I think it might be something to do with the prop shaft because if I move them in and out a bit the sound stops for a week or to and then comes back.
Any ideas what it might be ?
And any ideas on how to sort it.

Thank you

CV Joint

You can squirt some grease in the CV boot to do a temp fixed but you will
need to change the joint at some point

hi there i had the same problem a couple of weeks ago and i got a few replies saying it could be my drive shafts and to take a look at them which i did but that didnt stop the noise so i took it to my machanic and it turned out to be the clutch bearing which has been repaired and the noise has gone and its all fine now
hope this might help
