VW panels specifically around the windows. need to do a fair bit of welding.

Offside outer sill I bought from VW was about 1mm

most of the old crappers we have the panels are about as thick as cheap bogroll. :shock: just mek sure you have plenty of wire in yer mig to fill all the holes you blow :shock:

Ahhhh, but what does 16 gauge mean!! :D

I reckon JK or Scholly replacement panels are about a mm & VW are about 1.4mm.

Have decided this sort of welding is no good for your mig.....stop, start....stop,start stuff all day long. Must wear it out quicker!

64 thou or just over 1.5mm

I don't think they're anything like that thick to be honest, just under a mm I thought, but stand to be corrected.
