Home use Tachometer

Post by mikey9 »

If I am going to do this timing right on my engine - I reckon I need a simple tacho....(I know you CAN do it at idle and let the rest sort itself - but it sounds like 3000rpm is the best point to set forcheck advance at?)

Can anyone recommend a basic Home Tacho - I see Maplin do a couple

Does anyone have any recommendations - and suggestions as to what I should be looking for in a basic tacho.

The one you linked to should be fine for the job. Might get one of those myself.

You can get a tacho function on some of the better timing lights.
