Just to be the first one to praise Syncropete's spare wheel carrier. Super bloke, even better wheel carrier. Well sturdy, (think there is a picture of a gearbox being hung off one on the thread hercules put up). Proper well crafted bit of kit, not cheap at £450 ish (I think may be £400) but it is value for money IMHO. Get one.

I can recommend taking a good look at Amazing Dave's carrier when he's ready to unveil it . Very strong.easy to fit (none of that drilling nonsense and having to reinforce the body) and will go nicely on my Doka when I persuade him to make me one.Hope that's got some of you interested!!
I'll be getting a price in the next couple of days for having the tubing formed to my design...
Working on stainless at the moment, might downgrade to mild steel if it comes out too rich....
I've had my prototype on for a fortnight now... lots of positive comments.
Went up and down the rocky track to the lonely tree to test it a bit, all good.

I could be interested in that, depending on price.
Also after a rear ladder if you know of one.
Why dont you simply buy one of Syncropete's rear carriers? They are well made and close enough to the real thing. Or you could buy my genuine article for €1400. Syncroing isnt cheap!!
Chris, there used to be a spare wheel carrier in the Reimo catalougue, I cant find it in my 2006 book. It was about a £100, and was made like a Fiamma bike rack, could be a Fiamma product.
I have never seen one, but I imagine with a bit of care, they would do the job, and much less outlay, but you do get what you pay for.
