The last few times i have driven our van i have noticed a screeching/grinding noise from the drivers side front wheel, it is not a constant/permanent noise, only after driving for a bit and when you turn the steering wheel to the right (also just started when turning left on the passenger side wheel after driving back from vanfest), if your driving dead straight then no noise, noise also stops when you brake.
I was thinking along the lines of sticking calipers or maybe even loose pads that catch on the disks?? i would have thought it would be a constant noise if it was the wheel bearings?
Anyone with any idea's please as having to use the van as a daily driver at the mo as my fiat scudo is currently dead (AA man spent 2 hours trying to locate my electrical fault but had to give up).
Thanks in advance
Simon

Whip the wheel off and examine the wheel and the stub axle/caliper/brake lines etc. Any scuffing will be apparent. But my guess is yr pads are singing there last rites! Change em if so and give brakes both sides a good seeing to!

Thanks FW, would have thought my brakes would make lots of noise when applied if the pads were on there way out but the noise actually stops when i apply them
