lowering springs

Can anyone please give me some advice, my van is lowered and one of the springs on the front has fractured and cannot get through its MOT I am going to have a go at replacing the front springs myself. I am going to buy myself axel stands and have a go can anyone give me some advice or could point me in the right direction as regards websites etc.
