Yes, it can be done. Syncro Pete's dad John did this recently.
Basically he carefully disassembled the cabinets and re-assembled them 'inside-out' as it were. If you look carefully you can see a few fitting holes etc. but overall the effect is very good.

This is not true of all cabinets.
Don't doubt it can sometimes be done as there were some flat-packed kits made. Most westy cabinets are dado jointed at corners on inside and glued together. Reversing the panels would put these dado joints on outside and would show, not join properly, and as originally glued will not come apart without breaking. This is the case with my wardrobe, overhead locker and galley. (It's not a factory westy) They can not be taken apart and re-assembled backwards. Also, doors would be hinged wrong way, latches and hinges wrong, etc. I'm a chippy / joiner building custom cabinets and furniture for all kinds of applications including boat and campers (even a few westy spitty & bay refurbs), so do know a little about them.

Lloyd, no offence but I have a problem with your post, you seem to be suggesting I'm talking bull$!t.
I've seen John's RHD Westie conversion and it's very well done, and I have pretty high standards myself. Sure it's not quite as pretty or strong as originally built but its not it all bad. With the right use of brackets etc to reassemble the units I'm sure it it'll be perfectly serviceable. He did leave the kitchen unit as-is.
I wouldn't recommend this to someone with limited practical skills, but for someone who's fairly experienced and access to the right tools etc. I think its a viable option.
