I'm getting 13v just after the fuse. I've cleaned up all the connectors but all thats happening is the fan is spinning at full speed no matter what number I set the dial to.

Do I take it back as not working or pay to get somebody to have a look at it?

Take it back.

When your in the position that you cant take it back - then we can look into it further.

If you apply the correct power and fuel, and it still doesnt work, then in my book its not working.

Thought I'd give it one more try before I went to bed.

The fan came on slowly and I got a few wafts of smoke form the exhaust, pump started clicking, more smoke for exhaust, fan got faster, even more smoke from exhaust along with lots of noise. Even got a bit of warm air.
Ran for about 3 minutes then smoke stopped fan slowed and warm air went cold.
Voltage dropped to around 9v with hot air and then back up to 13 when warm air stopped.

Had enough for to night. Going to givr place I got if from a ring tomorrow and see what they have to say

Time for bed!!

Gave in another go this morning before coming to work.

Started up fine, a bit smokey and nosiey but ran on full power for a couple of minutes and warmed the shed up very quickly.

I'm going to stick with it and give it a proper run tonight to make sure it will keep on running.

When I do come to fit it to my van which fuel pipe do I tap into, and where do I get a suitable 'T' piece from?

It currently has a short stainles exhaust which seems nosiey.I thinking of just adding a bit of normal ebar exhaust tube onto the end of that. How long should the exhaust/ inlet pipes be?

Wheres the best place to buy the large pipe and outlet for the hot air?

Sooo many questions

Cheers

Hopefully good news then!

Ebay is your best bet for this stuff. Go to one of your local eberspoacher dealers and you will be paying a lot!

Before you slap it in, consider giving it a service like Tonion describes in the wiki...

I all ways forget about the Wiki.

Just downloaded the manual so will be giving it a good looking at tonight.

How long is your exhaust Ringo. Mine is only the short stainless one and it seems very loud.

cheers

Its about 3 foot long - with a silencer in it.

And the silencer really does work :)

Last question for now.

Where have you tapped into your fuel supply and how?

A "y" piece came with mine - so i cut the fuel pipe under the rock and roll bed (under the van next to the heater pipes)(my heater is under the bed) or in that area and i have diesel straight from the fuel tank.

Saves messing around with separate containers....

i would "t" into the return pipe right close to the tank (NS) as the return pipe goes straight into the tank, and the engine wont "steal" fuel from it when running........

Now everything is working as it should :D

Thanks for all your help chaps.

Just got to fit it in the van now

Might have to have a nosey round a few vans at Vanfest to see the best place to fit it, run pipes etc

cheers
