I know to get rid of badges on cars that are stuck to the paintwork you can get a hairdryer and a creditcard and remove them..but is that the same with the holdsworth graphics on the same of me van????
I will show a pic if it really helps but as the graphics are deterioting in places I would just rather remove them if possible.
Thanks
Holdsworth Graphics on side of van

Hi, I had the same problem with my Holdsworth Villa 3. The graphics were badly faded mors so on one side. I tried using a hairdryer, worked ok but not enough heat so I ended up using a hot air paint stripper. You can peel the graphics back while its still warm, but be careful you can burn your fingers!!! Also the van panels can get hot!!! Then use white spirit to remove any residue left from the graphics.

What did it look like after you have removed the graphics!?
I'm guessing the paint behind the graphics won't have faded much if at all..so did it look better or worse.. and have you repainted your camper and if so, what with? Sorry for all the questions!

Personally I prefer it without the graphics. Friends have also made comments that it looks better. (that could be because there's no faded graphics to look at). The paint hasn't really faded but I have "T" cut the edges to try to blend in the white. It looks ok but it will need more time spending on it.

Cheers for the info and thanks for the reply..I'll be getting to it hopefully tomorrow, as long as it don't rain too much

Just looked at a range of hot air paint strippers from machinemart, did it affect the paint much? I only want to take off the graphics :/
Out of these:
http://www.wickes.co.uk/Hot-Air-Gun/200 ... nvt/195576 £14.99
http://www.screwfix.com/prods/52874/Pow ... V-Heat-Gun ...note screwfix this is £20 and mm its almost £40
Never thought I'd be writing a post about hot air guns lol
Got mine from Focus DiY. Black & Decker think it was about £15.
