cheers to all the 'posters' and PMs to!
It appears quite a few of you running lpg on a 2.1 have ditched the injection set-up in favour of a carb pff a 1.9.
Although i own a set of spanners and do most of my own 'basic' van stuff - swp engines/suspension/brakes etc etc i dont like wading in blind.I reckon swapping it over is easily within my capabilities with a bit of guidance (hopefully)
Stripping it out ? Easy enough taking your time and not going mad with the side cutters. Same for bolting it all up i guess.
wiring loom - is it a seperate loom that is fitted around the engine bay ? once i start stripping it out/undoing connectors/removing ECU,ISV,DSV etc etc is it pretty obvious where to stop?
once i have stripped it all back and put the carb on what the issues ? I am guessing the fuel line will need a pressure regulator fitted somewhere before the carb ? filter ? injection filter or ditch it and put a boggo standard plastic one inline instead ?
Dizzy ? ditch the 2.1 dizzy in favour of a matching 1.9 one for the carb ?
I think the only sender i need to think about is the ECU temp one - just leave it unconnected in situ ?
Electric choke on carb , any ignition live ? where do you guys go off ?
Timing for lpg ? 10' still ? (will still run super unleaded

erm, er, erm - anything else ? anyone wanna post/PM/send me a telephone number would be most appreciated. Likewise anyone in wales who has done it and can over see me spannering would be greatly received .
Lastly , what is the difference in performance? Seeing as the the only difference when running on LPG is the manifold/runners can i expect similar performance between the to set ups ?
This is still very much at the 'thinking about it' stage at the mo!
cheers Elvis
