Narcotic gas alarms

Post by justaddblue »

Just ordered one of these:
http://shop.justkampers.com/product_inf ... s_id/12760

The other half requires it, before we travel through France, Spain, Portugal and Morocco for 6 months. Seems like a smart idea.

What I need to know is if anyone is using one, what kind of power drain can I expect? I asked Just Kampers, but they don'[t know, only that no one has complained yet.

So I need to know if the drain will adversely affect my battery [JK don't seem to think so], and if so, would running a solar trickle charger in the day be a good way to counteract it?

Cheers,
Blue

I think there must be the way the product is called overseas because wouldn't you know if you are doing narcotics. Or is it to keep you from overdosing?

justaddblue,

Only 150 milliamps consumption according to this site. No worries.

I have a small solar panel that I paid about £20 for a few years ago and it has been keeping my battery charged while my van has been resting in my garage even during this miserable summer weather. It is angled upwards in the south facing garage window. 'Every little helps'
