Dash Board LED's Playing-Up

Post by suedehead »

I don't often drive at night but was forced to at the weekend and noticed some odd goings on when the headlights are on.

Firstly all the lights work no problems - sidelights, headlights, foglights, full-beam. It is the LED's on the dash which choose to turn on for no aparent reason. For example the full beam indicator will come on for a while (the lights themselves do not come on).

Is this a common problem? Could it be a loose connection?
Any ideas what I should do?
:D

possible corroded circuit board in the dash pod or the big multiplug connector that is between the steering column and the fresh/hot air pipe may need cleaning up with a scouring pad. If the tracks are broken on the circuit board they can be fixed with the silver paint that you get from maplins for fixing the heater wires on the rear glass of vehicles.
