My 2.1 engine went poof on Friday in a big cloud of smoke! It's now sadly got a very big hole at the top of the main block!! Guessing one of the rods smashed through
So now I'm exploring what options I have. Not letting money be the main decider as I want to make the right decision for the future of the bus. (Within reason of course)
My main 2 options at the mo are; Elite 2.1 engine @ £1100. or a Vege 2.1 probably fitted by Jacks Garage they weren't too sure about the price as they wanted to see the van first (fair enough), but probably around £2k. I (used) to run it on gas, so Elite will be able to set that up at the same time.
I think the main 2 factors that will swing me are; warranty and mileage history from you peeps.
Soooo, what mileage have you reconers got out of your engines so far....?
