Wish I'd known about these when I was looking around to buy stands:
6 tonne; height 375 - 570mm; £21.99
3 tonne; height 300 - 430mm; £12.99
Has anybody used them? Handy for keeping tucked away in the van maybe?

I have a set of small foling ones.. (dont know if the same as them)
Used them a lot... but I always have a square of 1/2" marine ply under them if on anything less than flat concrete.... you have to make sure they are fully "spread" before fully loading them...
Tall ones... make sure your jack will get it up high enough to get them under...

I got them 6 tonne ones for my Xmas (how does Santa know just what you want?)
- the van has been spending too much time on them recently - I prefer them to sticking it on ramps. They are very solid - have TUV stickers (I think) - although I always stick a spare wheel or something else under if I am spending any time under there (belt - meet braces.....)

They do vat-free days? I like the sound of that, how do you know when they're going to be? Would be worth knowing about for when I'm looking to buy a welder.
Don't think they sell folding stands though, I'm looking for something compact that I can carry in the van.
Thanks for the other tips and info that people have provided about folding stands . . . I'll need to check the lifting height of me bottle jack.

When you buy something from them they register you, and twice or three times a year they send a invitation for a day and an evening event that you can only get into with the card
