coolant and oil question

Good morning all. What's the best oil to get for my 1.7D and what coolant would people recomend? Also I read somewhere on here a while back about what mixture % to use. Could someone point me in the right direction?

Much of the advice relates to wasserboxer (petrol engined vehicles) that have a particular issue with head bolt corrosion if the antifreeze isn't the correct strength and type etc. Thankfully these issues don't really apply to your engine but there are still some general recommendations to follow.
Good quality antifreeze (doesn't necessarily have to be G12 VW)
Drain and flush the system so that none of the old acidic coolant remains
40% mix should be fine (50% G12 on wasserboxers)
Follow recommended (long winded) bleeding technique to purge out all the trapped air
