ECU coolant sensor help

Post by Bond007 »

Hi

1988 1.9DG with FI

Had a chat today with Steve at Gasure as booking vehicle in for LPG :)

Whilst on the blower I asked for advice as to 'lumpy' running problem and he suggested checking the ECU coolant sensor by undoing it and shorting it out.

I did this and it made no difference at all. Does this suggest the sensor is foobarred :?:

If so where's best to get one :?:
Had a look on Brickwerks, but not listed.

Going to replace fuel filter as well, because I don't know if this has ever been replaced

Had a look on the Wiki and searched for lumpy running and got loads of good advice, but thought I would start with the above.

Would like to find and fix this, but I know the LPG conversion will sort it if all else fails :)

Regards,

Sean

get it booked in on a rolling road, have you ever had the air flow meter adjusted?since the DG never came with f-injection, it was called DH, i suspect the air flow meter came from a 2.1 of some sort so will be set up for that motor not yours,cj.
bought some real off roaders!!!!!!!
