Which side rear fog lamp for RHD
Do the RHD T25's which have the factory rear fog lamps light on the left or right? I'm sure someone has though of this but if they light on different sides then it would be easy to get whatever rear lamp housing to make both sides light up.

The rule is they must be on the offside (away from kirb) for the traffic of the country in which the vehicle is registered, ie on the drivers side or centreline minimum (pairs are also fine).
(left side and right side of vehicle as viewed from rear)
RHD = left hand traffic = offside foglight, Right hand side.
LHD = right hand traffic = offside foglight, left hand side.
LHD registered in UK(import) = left hand traffic, offside to kirb = Right hand side - thats why they need converting for MOTing imports.
So yes, if you got the right hand cluster from a UK van, and the left hand one from a european van you could have a pair (you'll need to do the wireing as VW never wired both sides though its really easy), many imported vans do.
In the UK you need a foglamp if the vehicle is built after september 1980 (I think, might be april), basicly all T3's have them as all but a handfull need them, doesn't seem the case abrord though as some don't have a rear fog.
US spec "vanagons" didn't have foglamps eather but they used them as brake lights instead (what we use as brake lights are tail lights and the tail lights are just reflectors). They also have side marker lights/reflectors which makes them pritty easy to spot.
