replacing front suspension bellow

Post by Pilks »

Hi folks had a look on wiki but no advice. I want to know if there is a replacement front suspension bellow that is on the market that doesn't require me to disassemble the steering rack etc.

Ive been told there is an item that just clips either side of the rod. Does anyone know of such an item?

Cheers
Dave :(

The term you are looking for is Steering rack Gaitor, find a Haynes manual with complete instructions on 'How to' as it will take for ever to do it here.

Nip off to your local VW agent if you want a proper one to replace the buggered one or try Partco/GSF or even any local accessories shop.

The ones you wrap round with out taking anything apart are for "cock" up merchants and don't last 5 minutes.
