Glove Box mystery

Post by Molly Man »

Oh gawd I must be bored!

Q. Should the glove box on my T25 have a retaining strap fitted inside and where does it fit, and where can I get one?
Q. Should there be some form of protection over the fuses to stop the CD's smashing into them and again where can I get one?

I've had such a sad life... I've never looked into anyone elses glove box!

It must be raining real bad where you are!!

And yes, glove boxes do have retaining straps...

my old air cooled (1980) had plastic strings - one each side of the box. The later models have a flexible plastic catch as part of the glove box itself.

Yes, there should be a plastic curved thingy that covers your fuse box on the bullet fuses. Not sure about the blade ones...but preseume sommat similar.

Spose I should go do some work....

Its what they pay me for, apparently.

Amuses me this one as I've had this niggle since I bought mine. In fact on mine I ended up attaching one end to the earth crown!

I made straps for the glove out of a bit of wire and two crimped rings (50p each from the motorist discount)

Thats a bit pricey when I think about it, I might go round and spray "Bloody expensive on his windows"

but thats a waste of paint!

hmmmm

:D
Get it fixed, put neons on it, get a huge amp then go camping........enjoy the quite life

I'm even more confused now!! (easy in my case) my fuse assembly and inside glove box looks nothing like the wonderful pics supplied by Phredd... thanks by the way. Has anyone got a 'Concours' glove box with all its original fittings? It seems we all have bits missing! and have had to modify and adapt , who has the master version?.. prizes will be awarded.

Worse is NO straps. Usually some inquisitive passenger opens it and all those important screws you were saving end up descending the step and into the drain you've parked next to.

I lost four really expensive AA rechargable batteries like that one night - plop, plop, plop.....er plop. Grrrrrr

I have an early T25 and I have the (still available) right hand plastic strap but the (now discontinued) left hand one is an old shoe lace
