As above for a 1.9 dg water boxer, thought i saw an article about these a couple of months ago, changing tubes without taking heads off, one has sprung a leek, need to get it done asap,any ideas who can supply them please as i am hoping to get the crewie tested this week. andy,

I think you can get them from German Sweedish and French. I also seem to remember that you zip tie them in a compressed position, insert, then snip the zip tie, and hey presto, your new tube is in.

VW also used to sell them, may still...?

I think that these units are the same as the air cooled variety.?

I am not sure GSF sell them, well at least they didn't when I got my one. I still have it, as I had already sealed it with araldite before the replacement arrived.
warning they are not cheap though, I think I paid £40 for one.


maybe try this partnumber from VW direct, I am not sure if it is the correct one but maybe.

we have been dealing with gsf for over ten years now and sadly they are no where near as good as they used to be :cry: .
the gsf part no is 14550 but it seems they no longer stock them . i have two in my stock you can have them at £30 each but there is only two :(

Better still, speedshop sell manton expandable push rod tubes which have one end bigger for ratio rocker clearance. It just so happens that the big end is the same size as the wbx one!
About £80 per set of 8.
