Rear seat belt
Can anyone help. I have a 90' Blue star multivan. I need to change the middle lap belt to a three point ( too many kids). I need the belt to retract away totally when not in use so the rock and roll bed can be used. Does any one know of a company who can make belts like this???

Hi,
I have done exactly what I think you are planning. I have a full width multivan rear seat and no cupboards to cause obstructions. I have now fitted three, 3-point belts across it.
The two outers are easy enough with the shoulder & reel mounts fitted to the inner skin/frame. The centre belt has no shoulder mount but comes directly off the reel. The reel is mounted to the inner body frame across the top of the tailgate opening, near to the off-side end. I had a piece of 3mm steel plate welded in and bolted the reel to it. The end of the belt has a smaller than normal buckle fitting which can be released and the belt then fully retracts into the reel.
All the belts were supplied by Quickfit Safety Belt Service in Stanmore Middx. 02082 060101. The invoice gives a product code of AF044. This is date May 2007.
I can't get pictures to post here but will send a couple to you directly if you pm an email address.
cheers
