t25 wont rev just dies.

Hi, pulled up at a junction the other day and my 1900cc watercooled t25 engine stopped running. When i tried to start it again it would tick over but as soon as i gave it any throttle it died. This happened for about an hour until i managed to get it to rev more and got home. Any ideas as to what causes it so it dont happen again, thanks.

fuel starvation, due to crud in system perhaps, check the filter, replace it's only a £1, but if it's got in the carb then it's strip and clean job. Or lack of air due to collapsed air filter - again easy to check. Or fuel pump delivery not good, easy enough to check, see the wiki.

Yep, I would say replace the fuel filter.. such a cheap simple part, but does wear out quite quick..
