T4 2.1 TDI mechanic????

I've not gone soft and bought a new van.

A mate of mine has a T4 Westfalia with a 2.1 TDI.
He thinks the turbo isn't doing its job.
The van is slugish and he cant feel or hear any Turbo input.

Generaly the van has done about 60,000 miles, uses no oil, doesnt blow smoke.

Any ideas?
He is looking for a mechanic in the North West?
Someone who can fit a hightop in his garage.
Does Gassure do T4s?

There isn't a 2.1 TDI.
there is a 1.9D
a 1.9TD
a 2.4D
and a 2.5 TDI.

I would start by finding out exactly what engine is in it.

Anything other than a 2.5TDI is going to feel slow, because they are!
