To stop the buzzer of doom i have replaced the oil pump and the main bearing shells at 300000kms. The question is the replacment shells have an oil groove on both halves but the originals have a groove in only the top half. Also the center shells are integral with the thrust bearings. The engine runs fine and the dreaded oil lamp is a distant memory but will this do any harm to the engine?
