Bust barrell on door lock
Thieves tried un get into my 81 van and bust the barrell in the handle of the passenger door. I can get the handle off ok but cant work out how remove the barrell. Is there a screw somewhere that I am missing?

In the pronged part there is a steel pin, 2.5 mm in diametre that needs hammering out, screw in the upper forked plate needs removing to get the barrel to release.
Or PM me & I can supply a full set of locks, handles etc all repainted.

No from memory its a steel sprng pin the screw is on the sliding door handle.
Give it a good clean up so that you can see properly.

What do you call the little thin wafer things that the key passes through inside the barrell? Most of mine are bent all out of shape and one I had to leave out as it was broken and the spring was pulled out of shape. However it is working.

I CANT REMEMBER !!!!!!!
but those little brass things are what make the lock operate properly, they slide flush when the key is inserted so it can turn in the barrel.
There are different ones, depends on how your key is cut to its size
PM me and we will see what can be done to help
