The bluebird ones are the JP ones! JP must make them. They really are an excellent fit.
I could do with ordering another as I've nearly run out of bubble wrap (anyone whos bought one will understand that)
Only comment about them is that the back box is a little long and doesn't sit evenly in the back panel, could do with being 6" shorter apart from that they are really good.
I've a Bluebird Customs one and have been playing with different tailpipe configurations. Now settled on 4" staight out the side. Thought it might look a**e to start with but looks good and sounds luverly. Pays to have a son who makes dad what he wants in stainless.
I spoke to both Bluebird and JP about there exhausts the are both slightly different. JP say the don't make them for Bluebird.
The bluebird one uses the existing cast Knuckle which is not supplied
The JP one doesnt pipes are merged.
JP have a special Spring offer the have 6 exhausts at a special price of
2.1 £394 + VAT = £462.95
2.1 Syncro £425 + VAT = £499.95
Bluebird 2.1 £525
The JP seems the better value
Any body any comments on either system
Had a couple of JP syncro 2.1 ones, seen a couple more in action. Not perfect, but ok. I'd agree with Simon on the backbox length, and the tail pipe isn't right for the syncro. Have seen the struts break on them too. Couldn't use a Thompson lambda in them, but so far ok with genuine Bosch/VW unit...three peeps had same problem with MV 2.1 set ups.
I stand corrected.
I spoke to JP last week and they said that if asked nicely they will shorten the length of the backbox to your requirements.
Not sure why you should have problems with the lambda sensor Aiden, any air leaks BEFORE the lambda sensor?
I've used loads of intermotor and other spurious lambda sensors in the past and had no trouble with them.
