Timing and idle adjustment

Post by AngeloEvs »

God knows I've done enough timing adjustments, but soon as the vacuum pipe is disconnected the engine dies faster than a fiver at the pumps. Where is the best temporary idle adjustment, checked the Haynes manual (rather than have to post a basic query) and not a lot of help. Can see a long threaded screw with convenient slot facing me just under the throttle lever, is that OK to adjust or is there a better adjustment to bring the RPM back up?
