AS some will know I have a crewcab, but I am really struggleing to get the water system in for my new engine. I have played about with several positions for the water system, and have decided this may be the only way to go. I have fabricated a underslung framework to support my expansion chamber, but this would mean cutting a hole through my load bed.
Do you think this would be a good idea, as I can not find anywhere else to install this expansion tank.
Cheers

As you can see the expansion tank would fit under the load bed and the cardboard represents the load bed and I would have to cut the hole in to get the filler off?
What do you think????

I am intending to plyline my deck and then line with alli chequer plate anyhow. Its just the cutting the deck I am thinking about as it may look rubbish.
No I have not seen the pictures. Sounds really good though. I was talking to my friend earlier today about doing a really radical conversion to Desert Storm (my other crewcab which is an unfinished project).
Something along the lines of a mid engined V8 or something.
If it does not sell on vehicles for sale, I will store it untill I get time to have a sit down and think about it.

Its very nice, but I would rather keep my swages in my body panels as I think that gives the vehicle it identity and I need the rear space for my kids.
Don't get me wrong it is an awesome conversion and a credit to the bloke who has done it.
I am sure people who look at my cooper say things like that about my choice for the conversion, it is each to there own.
I bet he has spent a fair amount on that to get it like that.
In realation to the hole in the load bed, I have decided to go with another expansion bottle to try and avoid the cut etc, but will keep you posted.
