Autohomes KOMET paint colour
Hi
Have a 1987 KOMET "off white" base colour. This seems to be the same colour as the range of Autohomes I have seen about.
Does anyone know if this is a VW "xxx white" or a paint number or can it be confirmed off the VIN?
Thanks
Andy

Pastel White, VW Code L90D
Check this by looking on the paper details stuck to the bulkhead below the steering wheel

Hi
Thanks Andylekker, at the risk of having to owe someone else a beer
, is it a case of taking the code into the autotrade paint guys and you can buy a pressurised spray can or the liquid only? As you may have guessed I do not have the compressor and bits, and if I did I would probably stare in ignorance.
Thanks

yes, as james says they will mix it for you - probably best to ask for cellulose paint and they will put it in a spray can
1664 - you may have been luckier than me so it's worth trying the halfords paint. i had put mine on the van in a few places before i realised just how bad it was but i just bought another mix from mitchells and did another coat over the top!
remember an only fools and horses when delboy got a job lot of cheep paint that turned out to be luminous yellow tunnel paint? - well i was reminded of that when i looked at bits of my van
