Turbo upgrade?

just wondering has anybody replaced the Turbo on a 1600Td,with a Turbo from a different vehicle and noticed any improvements, or are the Turbos non universal?

Blown head gasket, sir? Certainly. 1.6TD engines aren't reknowned for their longevity, why encourage them to die?

If you want more power and more linear delivery go to a 1.9TD.

Turbo's are designed specifically for an engine.
For a 1.6TD JX motor you want a turbo for a 1.6TD JX motor.
You can dick about with things but if your asking questions like that it's probably best not to.
