Freeflow exhaust

Post by vwsween »

My exhaust pipes need replacing and I will going to JP soon. Cant decide whether to retain the existing back box and tail pipe - does anyone have any advice as to how good the existing box and pipe is and what difference to performance there may be? At present I have a stainless Projectzwo 3 inch diameter tail on a freeflow box with the rest of the pipework being very rusty. The freeflow box was made in Austria by Jebring - it is marked K 02/02 and Typ Caravelle and D23112. Was fitted by previous owner at a cost (he said) of over 300 Euros.
So if anyone knows about these things, tell me what you think.
Thanks

when i looked inside my std 2.1 exhaust the other week i noticed a big restriction 1/2 way down the silencer.

didn`t look good to me but couldn`t get an answer as to wether it needs to be there or not.

Thanks for the replies. Booked in for 30 July - probably have full system. Still seems a shame not to use freeflow box and projectzwo tail - will probably sell them later.
