I'm putting a 2.2 in mine. Brakes are ok if kept in good condition. I have renewed discs pads and bearings and put braided lines on.

I have a 2.9litre 24valve Cosworth V6 in mine.

Hoping to have it finished buy the end of the week and a trip to the MOT station. Fingers crossed that is.

Going back to my lock up shortly to fabricate the exhausts.
