Westy Pop Top Bed Guard?

Post by jwlanky »

Does anyone know if there is such a thing as a guard that goes across the end of pop top bed to stop the kids falling out in their sleep?

Ive Google'd all kinda combination's and have only found one reference made to a homemade for solution on Westy for sale on Gumtree. Any help most appreciated.

 Mine haven't yet - but i do have visions of them doing so!

I just assumed that Westfalia did make a guard as there is a couple of metal stumps for fixing something on.

Carter did, but luckily the dog broke his fall (not so lucky for the dog) He now sleeps in a cab bunk and only the bigger kids go up top

We use an old stretchy cargo net out of a pug 206
It clips in to the suround of the pop top hole and up to the roof supports then just use the poppers that fix matress to fix the middle at the bottom.
Wasn't sure if it would be strong enough at first then one morning woke to find the young fella asleep in it like a hammock.

Hi,
Gunzl in Germany also sell them if Simons are not ready yet.
http://www.vwbusshop.de

Click on Westfalia T3

In the search box in the top left search for "Schutznetz"

The net for pop top (Aufstelldach) costs 128 euro plus post.
They do speak english and post to UK.

Cheers,
Dave
