Westy Roof Rack Bag

Post by blancowesty »

Greetings

Am thinking of asking the local sail making company to make me a bag for my 1990 standard roof rack space.

Question is has anyone done this? and if so what are best dimensions etc. Would want to have some way of holding bag into the roof rack space (velcro or clips etc) using the roof rack brakets, but will need to access brackets for strapping bag to roof when travelling. Am thinking that a full length double zip so that bag can be opened from either side.

Thanks for any replies.

Don't know if it's what you're looking for but Halfwits have a Thule roof bag - in our local store it's about £70 which is about 75% off. Worth a look perhaps

Westy Roof Rack Bag

Post by Grantourer »

Hi Blanco. We have a westy roof rack bag, size is just a bit smaller than the rack it fits in, comes with zips on 3 sides. We secure ours using 2 webbing straps through the eyes mounted on the roof rack. Hope this helps.
