have tried everything i can think of, have just checked the wire from the multi plug to the controll unit just o make sure it aint something simpl like a bust wire!! everything works as normal with the exception of the fuel pump kicking in ( i know it works!!) when i dissconnect the multi plug i notice that there is a large grub screw and a small sensor?? looks like it might be anyway! any ideas what these are adn if they would affect the fule pump??? i haven't adjusted or touched owt!!

Heater Problems
They are fickle things, but try
Is the battery well charged ?
Are any of the wires getting excessively hot, the resistance loop was the one that gave it away for me. It got so hot you couldn't hold it. The fan came on ran for a couple of minutes, but no clicking from the pump, the wire got hot. this the one that seems sensitive to corrosion or a bad contact.

This item belongs to Dave - it'll be the wiring at fault, definitely.

heater problems
If it is the same as on my HL18D there is a yellow loop of wire that has a two pin platic connector , I cleaned up the contacts, disconnected it a few times and crimped up the connector so it bit the blade harder, that seemed to sort it for mine. It does warm up a bit at first then once its running it goes cold. I don't know if the resistance can fail through use and it then it tells the heater ECU to not switch the pump on.
Mine was temperamental after it came back after it had been serviced until I fiddled with this loop thingy.
