What size/power battery is recommended by VW for at 2.1 auto?

065 is original, 075 and 085 fit.....

yes they all fit but no not necessarily more amps... 096 is 75 a/h the others may be similar or less.
you need 65 a/h cold cranking amps...
bigger batteries just give it a bit longer.
