Post by StussyBoy »

Can anyone help me, I have a 1984 T25 and the fuel pump has packed in, but its not a normal petrol pump its a mechanical pump with the inlet and outlet pipes facing the same way, which are not very common, cant get hold of one for love nor joy has anyone out the had the same problem? If there is can you get in touch asap as missing what is a short summer anyway!! Cheers, StussyBoy.

Stussy,,,,,you said,,
but its not a normal petrol pump its a mechanical pump with the inlet and outlet pipes facing the same way,

By all accounts the pump you describe is a standard T25 DG fitment and if purchased from the likes of JK will cost 48quid +5 pound postage.

The alternative pump from any decent motor factors will cost less than 20 quid but the carb feed is a bit larger and on a slightly different angle to the one shown,,,,, so you will have to buy some 6mm rubber fuel hose and a couple of decent quality jubilee clips to finish the job.

PS, also if you go for the cheaper option before you fit it put a blob of silicon on both sides of the pivot pin as it has be known to go 'walk about' soon after fitting...
One day you will find me,,

I can confirm exactly what fritz says, i bought one with the offset inlet/outlet and you can get them to fit it's just a bit tight on the Stack.
