'mazindave - Someone might just about be there by 3:30 Friday
Monday, probably out and about or packing up.
Did you not drop in last year too, or intend to?

Sat night is the time to pop round really, bring some good local bangers :)

Yep, I popped in last year but only had a civvy Orange High top, didn't dare drive it through the mudbath onto the site.... Al housman was there too in his Hilux, now long gone with his induction into the world of syncros.

I wouldn't mind some opinions on my syncro if people felt like offering them. Where are you likely to be on the monday afternoon? I could come and find you maybe?

Next Weekend?

Post by RussGwag »

Hello,

This is my first post, although I have been loitering for a while! This is partly prompted by the fact that I see you are having a meet just down the road from me next weekend. I'm not a member and don't own a T25. I do, however, have a couple of vehicles with the same DNA. A T4 Caravelle and a Mercedes G Wagen which of course shares the Steyr Daimler-Puch heritage.

So I figure I could combine these two in to one do it all vehicle. A VW Syncro! The G is used for what it was intended, link to photbucket below if you are interested. You need to scroll through to page 4 before you see any interesting off road type stuff. I'm thinking a Syncro would handle the same sort of overland travel but I'm a little uncertain about things like durability and spares availability etc.

Although I appreciate that this is a club event I was wondering if you would mind me calling by for a chat and to see what a Syncro can do. I'm obviously open to sharing the G Wagen with anyone interested as well!

Cheers,
Russ
