Help! i need some advise on a replacement engines i would like a LPG conversion as well so think it has to be petrol.
economical and one i can put the cover on without any modding to the hatch if possible something like 1.8? the van has a 1.6td at the moment.
and sorry about putting the question on the other forum.

Someone was just after doing the exact opposite not so long ago (i think).

I think you are best off putting an ad in swaps "Swap JX engine setup for petrol setup".

Alternatively, do a bit of research into the petrol GTI engine conversion. A few people have done it on here i think - though im not sure who.

You can use a few of your diesel bits for the conversion (fly wheel, gearbox bell housing, engine mounts)....
