Fuel filter

So I got this fuel filter off JK and as I'm about to intall it i notice my previous filter is of the small transparent type. Will I have problems with this new chunky filter? Is it for a different engine model? I have a 1.9 watercooled carb engine if that helps.

typical JK...... incorrect info again...... send it back, its a high pressure filter for the injection engines........ and anyway the one you want is about 70p from any car acc shop, and looks like the one you have already hanging under the van, only cleaner!!
