Simon what is that type of test equipment called? so we know what to ask for when booking an MOT.

It makes no odds to you as they will use a decelerometer on a short test drive (or they should!).
Or, Tapley meter as they are known by their brand name.

But, the manufacturer of the rolling road that has a 4x4 function that my local test station use is MOT 2000, it was from a company who sell "MOT Kits" to businesses who need the whole MOT shebang.

Tidy piece of kit to be honest, Im sure it's probably made by Tecalmit or someone but it's branded up as MOT 2000.

I am due for an MOT soon and have had a new VC so I asked my local mot garage if they put it on rollers last time. He knew all about syncros and said they used a Tapley. Panic over!
