HT leads & Plugs solves problem!

Post by Steve T »

New lease of life for DG 1.9 water cooled after intermintent misfire / holding back under load in high gear (on long up-hill drag's) Changed old 3 point plugs for WR7 DC +1 and new HT leads and this has solved the problem. Old leads had deteriated at lead connection to plug cover (on one lead very loose) Had recently replaced duff dist vac unit, that helped a lot with power but engine felt "flat" suspected ignition system fault and proved correct. Now fly's with ease possibly more economically fuel wise. Thought I would post as might help to solve similar problem any one may have. But as always fix one thing and another needs doing, me thinks starter bush is knackered as starter is slugish, with good battery and connections.
