speedo

Post by gixersteven »

does anybody no if it is possable to convert my kmh speedo to mph by just fitting a new face. If so where is the best place to buy the required bit. I am aware that the mileometer will still be in k's but not to concerned about that. I have also seen converters on motorbikes that fit on the cable but have never seen anything like this for cars. Any ideas or info much appreciated

Dial-overlay is the quickest option - and Yes, the do work. You see them on ebay from time to time.

Alternatively, get some Nobo-board stickers, cut into small diamonds and stick them to the face in the relevant speed positions.

Alternatively get a new MPH speedo would be the best option IMHO.

I am a little concerned about the new face being accurate, I would like to change the clocks and get a rev counter to but i am trying to keep cost down as there is always something else to get, Its turning into a money pit.

the /clocks / seperate and the speedo comes out on its own. 4 screws

how much is dials going to cost compared to £15 for a replacement speedo , set to your required mileage?
