hlf fill it with clean warm water, and add "puriclean" tank cleaner (available from all caravan shops) and leave in the tank for 12hours, ideally driving around so it agitates, then flush with cold clean water . then dont leave the tank empty......... do NOT use baby bottle sterilising fluid, it damages the pump......and is expensive

it's true that milton attacks metal, so if you are going to use it (i do)

make sure that it is diluted as per the instructions and you only have to leave it in there for 15 minutes before flushing it out - i know people who have used it for years in this way.

i would be interested to know exactly what purilean tank cleaner you mean, mocki - i have found it hard to get and only found it listed on the internet at £20+ which is quite expensive.

thats the stuff, there is enough in that £2.95 tub to clean a 10 gal tank 4 times, which by my calulations is 3 times cheaper than milton, and it wont eat the prop off your pump.......

its even cheaper than that at caravan shops local to me, like most things JK sell

I bought some puriclean tablets, somehow misread the price, ended up spending £13 for 18 tablets and I only need a 1/4 of one for one tank so I think I have a lifetime supply - what a muppet
