webber carbs V's standard

Hi guy's,

i have a 2lt Aircooled 1980 VW T25, why do people swop there standard solex carbs for webber carbs?

Is a webber faster? more economical?

depends on what one... the single replacement is a hash job and needs setting up properly...
a pair of twin webbers or dllorto's work well.. these also need setting up well.. you can actually get more power and mpg from a well set pair of "twin carbs".... several on here have them and will be along shortly..

got dells 40's good performance decent economy and brilliant noise! some people maybe would say that 40's are a bit over kill and if you cane it on the Mway you can feel a breeze of the fuel needle! but you will be going pretty quikc! you pays your money etc. Best bet to get from alfaguy on ebay he sends over from italy, other people get the solex re-built by Laurie?? someone good luck main thing is what ever you get get the set-up right
