Replacement Front Seats

Post by in_the_garage »

Hi,

can anybody advise on the best seats to go hunting through ebay for to replace the front seats in an '88 caravelle? Something that doesn't need any welding etc would be good.

cheers.

To put doesnt need any welding etc kinda narrows it down to either ones that have been converted or ones designed to fit our vans ie vw t25 seats??

Good point - fair enough :)

I've just had an almighty amount of welding and work done to my van, so I'm sort of in welding-shock...

What seats would fit nicely with a "reasonable" amount of modification to the existing mounts?

Thanks...

Recaro seats (with power height adjusters) from a Mk II GTi has sliders which unbolt. You can then take your old seat pan a drill 4 bolts for the Recaros to go on. Or sell the GTi sliders and buy some proper Recaro sliders for your van.
