None of the door keys lock the doors

Post by ringo »

In my new van, none of the door locks work with the key. It also looks like someones had a go with a screw driver in each door :?

Whats the solution here - do i have to buy a new lock set for each door?

Can i just get barrels?

Not had this before...

Thanks

Got a new van to use while i get the Villa 3 done up - tis a panel van with a homebrew conversion.

Need to get the doors locked before i start making it nice!

Will take a look at brickwerks...

Rich - there's a tiny grub screw in the side of the lock visible once handle removed - could be covered with crud and paint. I've sometimes needed to use a small hacksaw to carefully cut a new slot and screw it out.

re slider handle if needs be the grub screw can be drilled out and the thing retapped with a fine BA thread and a new grub screw made out of a brass BA machine screw. I have my grandads cigar box full of BA bits and a set of taps and dies for the small stuff, really useful sometimes.
I have a tumbler kit and can repair and rekey them.
